RRR scripts Oscar history,Nattu naatu nominated for best original song

Oscars 2023 full list of nominations was announced on Tuesday evening. SS Rajamouli's RRR has made history as first Telugu film to get Best Song nomination.

With this nomination, the song stands a good chance to win the grand slam of the decade - Golden Globes, Critic’s Choice Awards, and Oscar!

The other movies which secured a nomination were, 'Applause' (from the movie 'Tell It Like A Woman'), 'Hold My Hand' (from the film 'Top Gun: Maverick'), 'Lift Me Up' (from the movie 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'), and 'This Is Life' (from the film 'Everything Everywhere All At Once').

RRR Movie, the Twitter handle of the film tweeted, "We created history!Proud and privileged to share that #NaatuNaatu has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards."

The 'Naatu Naatu' song is composed by MM Keeravani and penned by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. While collecting the award at the Golden Globes, the composer dedicated the award to Rajamouli, who is also related to him.
